Construction Beginning On Salt Lake Boulevard Widening Project
The public is advised that construction activities along a portion of Salt Lake Boulevard, from Ala Lilikoi Street to Maluna Street, will start the week of February 28, 2022 and is expected to be completed in June of 2024. During the first three weeks, the City's contractor, Goodfellow Brothers Inc., will be conducting tree removal and utility locations. In the following three months, sewer line reconstruction, mass grading and exploratory probing for underground utilities will be conducted. MEI Corporation, Inc., the City & County of Honolulu (CCH) contractor for a project to install new guardrail and object marker at various locations in Waim nalo, is scheduled to begin work on March 3, 2022. Work will occur Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and will involve lane closures at these site location work zones.
