Zoo camp will immerse your keiki in the vast and unique world of animals. Campers will gain a wealth of knowledge about different animals and the environments in which they live. A different theme is highlighted each session/week and campers learn through hands-on lessons complete with bio-artifacts, interactive activities, crafts and games. Our camps are broken up into three age groups and curriculum is designed to meet national science standards.
Summer Camp 2025
5-Day Week Camps
Menehune (5-6 Year Olds)
'Imi Loa (7-9 Year Olds)
Koa (10-13 Year Olds)
4-Day Week Camp (June 30-July 4, 2025 – No camp on Friday, July 4)

How to Register
To register for the next camp, please click on your child(ren)’s age group above. Once you submit your enrollment, you will receive an email confirming your completed enrollment with your order number. Please keep a record of your order number so that we may best assist you if you need to make changes to your enrollment.
If you are a Honolulu Zoo member, sign in or register an account using the email address associated with your membership to receive your discount and access priority enrollment. If you do not register and sign in with the email address associated with your membership account or if you do not have an email linked to your account, you will not be able to receive these member perks. If you are interested in becoming a member to unlock these and other special perks, become a member here!

What to Expect
When you enroll your child in Zoo Camp they’ll be immersed in fun educational activities all day long. Activities revolve around a unique featured weekly theme. Our Camp Leaders work hard to create exciting national Next Generation Science Standards-geared lesson plans that meet K-12 requirements. Schedule varies from day to day depending on the activities and encounters planned for that week.

Policies for ALL Programs
Booking in advance is required, as spots fill up quickly. Please note that we do not refund for missed or partially missed days and some elements of our programs may change due to animal and staff availability.
Classes for children are held, rain or shine, in Hale ʻImi ʻIke (unless otherwise noted). All programs require participants to book in advance and wear closed-toe, covered shoes during their time at the Zoo.
