project map

Honolulu – A city contractor is scheduled to begin the repaving of McCully Street beginning on Monday, April 29.  Barring weather-related delays, the work is expected to be completed within 90 calendar days. Allowable work hours will be from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Mondays through Fridays, except holidays.
Repaving work will be divided into three phases, beginning from King Street towards Ala Wai Boulevard:

Phase 1:           Work will begin from King Street to Date Street, blocking half of McCully Street during work hours; a traffic contraflow will be setup on to the other half of McCully Street.

Phase 2:           This phase will continue from Date Street to Kapi‘olani Boulevard, blocking half of McCully Street during work hours; a traffic contraflow will be setup on to the other half of McCully Street.

Phase 3:           This final phase will be from Kapi‘olani Boulevard to Ala Wai Boulevard, blocking half of McCully Street during work hours; a traffic contraflow will be setup on to the other half of McCully Street.

Drivers should anticipate delays and are reminded to observe and obey all traffic controls, posted signs and special duty police officers. On-street parking will be prohibited during working hours, and drivers should observe the dates and times on posted roadway signs. Illegally parked vehicles may be towed at the owner’s expense. Drivers are advised to take an alternate route or proceed with caution through construction areas. Local residential traffic, deliveries, and trash collection will be allowed during construction hours.
